Harvest Regional Food Bank Needs Volunteers

Harvest Regional Food Bank is seeking volunteers to help harvest 2 acres of fresh corn donated by a Little River County farmer. The corn will be distributed to over 90 food pantries across the 10-county region.

Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the Foreman, Arkansas, rest stop and work until noon. All ages are welcome, and volunteers are asked to bring a hat and wear closed-toe sneakers or boots.

According to CEO Camille Wrinkle, the annual donation of corn is crucial in providing fresh produce to families who may not have access to it otherwise. Wrinkle emphasized that even a little bit of time from volunteers makes a significant difference in the harvesting process.
