H-E-B Opens First Store in Dallas County

Texas-based grocer H-E-B has opened its first store in Dallas County, located in Irving. The store, situated along Interstate 635 between North Belt Line Road and Olympus Road, opened to customers at 6 a.m. on June 17.

Expansion in North Texas

This opening comes on the heels of the grocery chain opening its Midcities store on May 20. There are currently 10 H-E-B branded stores open in Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties, including five in Collin County, one in Denton County, and three in Tarrant County.

Another half dozen or so stores are planned for the cities of Murphy, Dallas, Denton, Carrollton, and Fort Worth. H-E-B also has eight other locations in the nearby counties of Rockwall, Kaufman, Ellis, Johnson, Parker, and Hood.
