A gun club on the Northwest Side of San Antonio has reached a settlement with a neighboring developer, ending outdoor shooting at the club. The developer, SA Given to Fly, had sued the San Antonio Target, Hunting, and Fishing Club in 2024, alleging that the club’s outdoor shooting was causing projectiles to trespass onto its property.
Settlement Details
The settlement includes an $800,000 payment from the club and a permanent deed restriction that bans outdoor shooting on the property. However, the club may still allow archery and semi-automatic rifle use if a proper indoor shooting range is built.
The developer had planned to develop the land next to the gun club, but the original builder dropped the contract due to concerns about the club’s outdoor shooting. With the lawsuit now settled, the developer believes site work can begin later this year.
