The Greenville Zoo and Cleveland Park are temporarily closed on July 23 after an animal escaped from its enclosure. According to the city of Greenville, zoo personnel and first responders are working to contain the animal, which remains within the Greenville Zoo walls.
The Greenville Police Department and Greenville City Fire Department are on site to keep people a safe distance away. The public is advised to avoid the area.
