The Girl Scouts of the USA, together with North Carolina Coastal Pines, announced two brand‑new cookie varieties that will debut in the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season. Both treats are being offered exclusively online, giving families and their beloved pets a way to join the beloved tradition while meeting specific dietary needs.
Patch Pals: a treat for dogs
Patch Pals are soft‑baked, blueberry‑muffin‑flavored cookies created in partnership with BARK, a company that supplies dog toys and treats. Each cookie is decorated with one of four patch designs—a compass, a heart, the Girl Scout trefoil, or a tennis ball—making them a fun, pet‑friendly addition to the cookie lineup.
Sparkables: allergy‑safe for people
The second new variety, Sparkables, is an oatmeal cookie developed with Partake, a snack brand known for allergen‑free products. Sparkables contain chocolate chips and sprinkles while avoiding nine of the most common food allergens, providing a safe option for those with dietary restrictions.
Girl Scouts said the new cookies reflect the organization’s commitment to inclusivity: “Inspired by Girl Scouts across the country who have advocated for expanding the cookie lineup to meet the diverse needs of their communities, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables offer new ways for more girls, families, and beloved pets to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program while staying true to what makes the tradition special.”
The 2027 cookie season runs from Jan. 16 through March 14, and orders for Patch Pals and Sparkables will open online on Jan. 12.
