Gene Xcellence, a local nonprofit, empowers teens and young adults to explore their strengths, prepare for college and careers, build financial confidence, and develop the resilience needed to thrive in adulthood.

Mission and Impact

Through intentional programming and personalized support, Gene Xcellence helps young people identify their dream careers and pursue economic mobility. In the 2025-2026 school year, Gene Xcellence served roughly 600 students through their career labs and traveling RISING Workshops, delivering high-impact career and life-skills education.

DeAsia Danladi, executive director, leads the organization. Gene Xcellence offers volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and giving opportunities to support their mission.
