Parrot Island Waterpark in Fort Smith will host a free World’s Largest Swimming Lesson event for parents and kids to learn water safety. The event, scheduled for Thursday, June 25, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., aims to help families build confidence in and around the water.

The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is a global effort that brings waterparks, pools, aquatic centers, and swim schools together to spread one important message: swimming lessons save lives. Children ages 3 to 17, along with their parents, are invited to take part in this free community event.
Parrot Island Waterpark features a FlowRider, wave pool, two-person tube slide, four water slides, lazy river, activity pool, and children’s aquatic play area, with more than 400,000 gallons of water attractions.
To attend, participants should bring proper swimwear and towels. No outside food, drinks, or coolers are allowed, with exceptions for allergies, special dietary needs, and baby food/formula. Free life jackets are available first-come, first-served, and weak swimmers and children under 48 inches are encouraged to use them.
