Residents of Jackson, Wyoming, can look forward to a summer filled with free outdoor yoga sessions, providing an opportunity to connect with nature and promote personal wellness. The Jackson Hole Land Trust, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, and Teton Village are hosting these sessions at various locations throughout the valley.
Yoga on the Block
The Jackson Hole Land Trust is offering three weekly yoga classes at the Greenspace on the Block, located behind the Healthy Being Cafe. These sessions, which began this week, will continue through August. Participants can join classes led by experienced instructors Erwin Velasquez, Jes Neuhaus, and Isabel Harris. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats, although some will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Mondays: Spanish/English with Erwin Velasquez from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays: Hatha with Jes Neuhaus from 10 to 11 a.m.
- Thursdays: Vinyasa with Isabel Harris from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Mojo Mondays
In Teton Village, Dani Perry from Inversion Yoga will lead an all-levels flow class as part of the Alive@5 series. These sessions will take place at the amphitheater on the Village Commons every Monday from 6 to 7 p.m., from June 29 to August 31. Participants can arrive at 5 p.m. for a self-guided meditation and warmup. Mats will be provided for attendees.
Yoga on the Trail
The National Museum of Wildlife Art continues its tradition of offering free yoga sessions on the Sculpture Trail, which overlooks the National Elk Refuge. These classes will be held on Thursdays from July 2 to August 27, from 9 to 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a mat and a water bottle to enjoy the serene setting and beautiful views.
The museum describes the event as a connection between two art forms: visual art inspired by artists over the centuries and the art of yoga, promoting a healthy mind, body, and spirit. These free yoga sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the natural beauty of Jackson, Wyoming.
