Fox Valley Lutheran won the WIAA Division 2 state softball title on Saturday, defeating Pewaukee 9-1 at Goodman Diamond in Madison.
The Foxes took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and then added 4 more runs in both the fourth and sixth innings. Madison Babcock led the Foxes, pitching a complete game while allowing 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 12. She also had a double, a home run and drove in 4 runs.
Lexi Hanson had 3 hits for Fox Valley Lutheran, scored twice and drove in 2 runs. Fox Valley Lutheran finishes the season with a record of 26-3. Pewaukee ends with a record of 2-10.
Other Division Results
In Division 1, Hamilton defeated Muskego 8-3. Lomira won Division 3, defeating Lodi 5-0. Mineral Point took Division 4, beating Johnson Creek 6-0. Almond-Bancroft won Division 5, defeating Belmont 16-8.
