Fort Worth’s Pinson Street, located in City Council District 5, is scheduled to undergo a $2.6 million improvement project. The Pinson Street Sidewalk Improvements Project, funded through the city’s 2022 bond program, aims to enhance safety, accessibility, and mobility along the 5,500-foot stretch of Pinson Street serving the Stop Six’s Sunrise and Parkside neighborhoods.
Project Details
The project includes replacing noncompliant sidewalks and curb ramps, constructing ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps, reconstructing driveways where necessary, installing pedestrian signage and pavement markings, and making utility adjustments. The city will also take measures to minimize the impact on adjacent properties, including tree preservation and the use of retaining curbs.
A community meeting was held on June 16 to discuss the project, where representatives explained construction phasing, traffic management plans, and resident notification. Traffic flow and property access will be maintained throughout construction, which is expected to begin in July and last approximately 180 days.
