Construction is scheduled to start in early August on $720,000 in improvements to the Trinity Railway Express crossing at Riverside Drive in Fort Worth.
Project Details
Improvements include new medians, paving, sidewalks, curb ramps, signage, railroad pedestrian crossings, and striping. The project was approved by voters in the city’s 2018 bond program and federal money.
The project also includes pedestrian “swing” gates designed to provide escape routes near the train tracks. City staff gave an update to residents in the area on Aug. 5 during a preconstruction meeting.
Work is projected to start Aug. 10 and be finished by December or early January, depending on weather, the city said. Questions concerning the project can be submitted to project manager Paul Clutts at [email protected].
