A man was shot in the face during a drive-by shooting in Fort Worth, Texas, early Wednesday morning. The victim was changing a tire in a gas station parking lot when he was shot. His girlfriend was sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle at the time.
Investigation and Arrest
Responding officers secured the gas station crime scene and the hospital where the victim was taken. While reviewing surveillance footage, an unknown suspect fired shots at the officers. The suspect was later identified and arrested after a pursuit and a 911 call from a resident who reported a man hiding outside their home.
No officers or bystanders were injured in the subsequent shootings. The suspect is currently being interviewed by gun violence detectives. The name of the suspect and the condition of the victim have not been released.
