A former Chase bank branch at 2500 Mission St. will reopen this fall as Hidden Frequency, a small music venue that will host immersive listening sessions and electronic music.
Local Entrepreneur Behind the Project
Naz Khorram, founder of Hidden Frequency and owner of the nearby wine bar and plant store Arcana, had been searching for a music venue location since 2023. After considering several options downtown, she realized the vacant Chase branch next door was the perfect spot.
The building had recently been remodeled and was in good condition, making it an ideal location for Khorram’s vision. Hidden Frequency filed for an entertainment permit on June 18 and plans to offer cocktails, wine, and beer, as well as host collaborations between local visual artists and musicians.
Khorram describes Hidden Frequency as a combination of The Lab, Gray Area, and Envelope SF, with a focus on immersive listening experiences. The venue will feature one listening room and a desert/sand dunes aesthetic.
