The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Anaheim Ducks center Leo Carlsson to a 5-year, $90 million offer sheet. The Ducks have 7 days to match the offer.
Contract Details
The offer sheet would require the Flyers to give up four first-round draft picks in each of the next four seasons as compensation if the Ducks do not match the offer. Carlsson, 21, had 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points in 70 games last season with the Ducks.
The Minnesota Wild recently signed Kirill Kaprizov to an eight-year, $136 million extension, giving him the richest contract in NHL history. Kaprizov will count $17 million against the salary cap beginning next season.
