A Brooksville woman is facing charges after a chaotic Tuesday afternoon that started with a gas station outburst and ended with her stripping to her underwear and spitting in a deputy’s face.
Incident Details
Hernando County deputies were called to the Texaco gas station at 101 Ponce De Leon Boulevard after workers reported a woman, later identified as 33-year-old Iesha Field, was harassing customers and disrupting the business. Deputies issued a trespass warning, and Field walked away from the property.
However, the situation escalated when Field wandered to a nearby mobile home park on West Jefferson Street. Deputies reported that Field took off her clothes, walking around in only her underwear, and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. She continued yelling and acting belligerently, disturbing several residents, including a mother who was outside with her young children.
When deputies tried to calm the situation, Field refused their commands and became combative. As they moved to take her into custody, she fought back, trying to hit and kick the deputies. Field was eventually secured and taken to the Hernando County Detention Center, where she is facing a felony charge for battery on a law enforcement officer and a misdemeanor charge for breach of the peace and disorderly intoxication.
