The Florida Panthers have made a trade to acquire gritty winger Garnet Hathaway from the Philadelphia Flyers. Hathaway joins the Panthers after they recently traded for Brady Tkachuk to unite him with his brother Matthew.

Panthers Trade Details

Florida sent a fifth-round pick in the draft and a fourth-rounder next year to Philadelphia for the 34-year-old winger. Hathaway has one season left on his contract at a salary cap hit of $2.4 million.

The Panthers made this move as they are expecting to lose A.J. Greer in free agency. Greer played a key depth role on the team during their recent title runs.
