As a precaution, both northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 75 were closed temporarily. Emergency vehicles utilized the southbound lanes to transport water to the scene, assisting firefighters in their efforts to extinguish the flames.

A spokesperson for the Chattanooga Fire Department noted that the incident occurred outside the city limits, with Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department leading the response. Chattanooga crews provided assistance under a mutual aid agreement. The southbound lanes of the interstate reopened relatively quickly, while northbound lanes remained closed for a longer period as crews monitored for hot spots and cleared the burned trailer from the roadway.
