A fireworks display at BMO Stadium in Exposition Park ended in a mishap on Friday night, with fireworks appearing to misfire into the crowd after the Angel City FC soccer match.
According to the club’s Facebook page, a fireworks show was scheduled to take place at the stadium following their home game against Orlando Pride as part of “LA Sports Night.”
Some spectators said those in the stands were evacuated after the incident, which happened near the end of the fireworks display. No injuries have been reported.
A spokesperson for Angel City FC told NBC on Saturday that the club is “monitoring the situation very closely.”
The LA women’s team defeated Orlando 2-0.
