The Orlando Fire Department confirmed that it was responding to Universal Studios in order to assist in safely removing patrons from a disabled ride. Around 70 people were still on board a ride that became disabled in an elevated position. The riders were still upright inside of an air-conditioned building at that time, firefighters said, adding no medical complaints had been reported.
According to the statement, the Orlando Fire Department is coordinating with the park’s ride technicians and will assist with safely removing the patrons from the ride platform. The specific ride involved has not been disclosed by Universal.
