A man with ties to Kentucky and Indiana, Gregory Henderson Jr., was arrested by the FBI in Louin, Mississippi, on Wednesday, just one day after he was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Alleged Crimes

Henderson was wanted for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking, money laundering, and a dogfighting operation. According to the agency, Henderson was the leader of a violent, neighborhood-based gang in Indianapolis that’s affiliated with the Gangster Disciples.

The agency said the group also had significant drug ties to the Sinaloa Cartel. Investigators said Henderson allegedly helped distribute cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding region.

Henderson also had ties to Louisville and Lexington, as well as Cincinnati, Dayton, Chicago, and Detroit.

Capture and Statement

The FBI announced Henderson’s capture on Friday, saying the agency received a tip that helped provide ‘critical information’ that led investigators to him in Louin.

‘The arrest of Gregory Henderson, Jr. sends an unmistakable message: you can run, but you cannot outrun the FBI,’ said FBI Special Agent in Charge Timothy O’Malley. ‘This arrest reflects the relentless determination of the FBI and our law enforcement partners to pursue dangerous fugitives wherever they may attempt to hide.’
