Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton has introduced Brian McCowan as its new vice president and athletic director. McCowan comes to FAU from Mississippi State University, where he served as deputy athletic director.
Experience and Responsibilities
McCowan has been on campus for the past few days meeting with staff and said, “I can’t wait to get started.” He brings more than 15 years of experience in collegiate athletics, including positions at Kansas State University and the University of Colorado. One of McCowan’s major responsibilities as athletic director will be hiring head coaches.
