A man died after two boats crashed into each other on Clear Lake Thursday morning. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources reported the incident, which occurred in the Little Lake area.
The driver of a fishing boat was killed, and his passenger was taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. The passengers of the other boat were not injured. The DNR stated that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the incident.
Clear Lake Police and Fire, Ventura Fire, and the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the call. The DNR is investigating the incident.
