A former NFL player is facing multiple counts of arson in Brevard County after allegedly setting fire to several trucks at his former workplace in West Melbourne.

According to the authorities, Javian Hawkins, 26, a Brevard County native and former Cocoa High School Tiger, set three pickup trucks on fire outside a lawn care company, causing the fire to spread to the building. The owner of the company, Tony Romano, stated that everything in the building was destroyed, including offices and equipment.
Hawkins, who played for the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 56, was identified through surveillance video and witness statements. He is being held on a $280,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in early August.
Community Response
The incident has affected not only the company but also the families of the employees and subcontractors who work with the business. Romano mentioned that around 300 families are impacted by the fire. However, the community has come together to support the affected business, with neighboring companies offering help and resources.
