Don Zimmer served as a coach and manager for over 60 years, including a stint with the Rays. He played a significant role in Longoria’s development as a player.
Soot Zimmer has a deep collection of baseball memorabilia, including autographed bats, awards, and game-used baseballs. She plans to attend the jersey retirement ceremony and offer Longoria her final piece of advice: ‘Enjoy life, and go to a ball game once in a while.’
