A recently hired school employee in Elmore County, Alabama, has been arrested. Assistant Superintendent and Human Resources Director Susanne Goodin stated that since it is an ongoing legal matter and personnel issue, they are limited in the details that they can provide at this time.
Goodin also said that they “want to assure families and our community members that student safety remains our highest priority.” While the system did not release the identity and the reason for the arrest, the school system added that they will “pursue the termination of any employee who is charged with a crime against children.”
