Election Sign Complaints in Wyoming

Oil City News has fielded multiple questions involving the election, including the placement of campaign signs and the eligibility of candidates. One concern was about a large campaign sign near a fire department building, which was found to be on private property. As long as the politician or their team has the owner’s permission, the sign can stay.

Campaign Sign Placement

Another issue involved a Wyoming House candidate sign being too close to the Natrona County Courthouse during early voting. However, after researching the state law, it was discovered that the county staff had misunderstood the law, and the signs were allowed to return as long as they remained 100 feet from the courthouse.

A third issue involved allegations against a candidate, Neil Jeske, regarding his residency and eligibility to run. After investigating, it was found that Jeske had reactivated his Wyoming voter registration in August 2024, two years before the primary, and had not voted twice in the same election. Other personal and business allegations were found to be unverified or contradicted by records.

Oil City News decided not to publish stories on these issues due to the lack of wrongdoing or low public impact. The newsroom is committed to reporting verifiable facts and not unsubstantiated political narratives.
