A drone attack hit an apartment building in Chekhov, near the Russian capital Moscow, according to regional governor Andrei Vorobyov. Vorobyov posted a photograph of the damaged building on Telegram, showing blown-out windows and black smoke rising from the top floors.
There were no casualties, Chekhov’s mayor, Mikhail Sobakin, said in a separate Telegram post. Defenses downed several dozen drones in the region, including in Podolsk, Domodedovo, and Kolomna, Vorobyov added.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that over 390 drones were heading towards the region between late Monday and early Tuesday, with 81 downed near the Russian capital city.
