Jayme Lien, a candidate for Wyoming House of Representatives District 38, recently responded to a questionnaire about the challenges facing her constituents.
Challenges in District 38
Residents in HD38 are facing numerous challenges, including rising costs for food, animal feed, fertilizers, gas, water, property taxes, and utility bills. Water issues remain, especially in this season, with critically low levels affecting irrigation, the Alcova marina, drift boat fishing, livestock watering, and residential lawns.
Access to quality local medical care is another pressing concern. Many constituents also emphasize the need for long-term, stable jobs, for themselves and their upcoming youth.
Addressing Challenges
If re-elected, Lien will continue digging into the root causes of these problems by asking the tough ‘why’ questions, and getting answers. She will keep speaking out against arbitrary rate increases from utility companies and continue fighting to protect water and property rights at all levels.
Lien is committed to funding Community Consensus Grants to help restore and repair waterways and is open to all conversations, and welcomes ideas or proposals that will benefit HD38 and the state of Wyoming.
