An elderly woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday. Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, located in the area of 15360 SW 295th Street, at around 2:28 a.m. following reports of a crash involving an elderly pedestrian.
Once at the scene, the woman was airlifted to Jackson South Medical in critical condition. The woman’s identity was not released. Deputies said that a man was then taken into custody, but his identity and the charges he faces were not released. An investigation into the incident remains active.
