Ronnie and Ashley Lowenfield have committed $300,000 to establish the Ronald W. & E. Ashley Lowenfield Tumor Board Room at the future Fox Cancer Center in El Paso, Texas.
Supporting Cancer Care in El Paso
The tumor board room will be used by teams of physicians, surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists to review cancer cases and develop treatment plans for patients. According to Texas Tech Health El Paso, the room will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive cancer care to the community.
Ronnie, the CEO of Casa Auto Group, said the decision to support the tumor board room reflects his lifelong belief in the importance of collaboration and teamwork. Ronnie’s own experience with cancer also played a significant role in the couple’s decision to donate. After receiving a cancer diagnosis in his thumb, Ronnie was connected with physicians in Houston by Steve Fox, who helped him through his treatment.
Today, Ronnie is cancer-free, and the couple’s experience has strengthened their commitment to helping future patients have access to cancer care in El Paso. The Fox Cancer Center, which started construction in September 2025, will be the first comprehensive cancer center serving West Texas.
