Emma White is helping her grandmother, Diane Avery, find homes for the 43 dogs at I Am Almost Home Animal Rescue in El Paso. The rescue has been operating on Diane’s property for years, but after COVID hit, transport and adoption events slowed down, leaving many dogs without homes.
Call for Volunteers and Adopters
Emma plans to keep posting on the rescue’s social media page while traveling back and forth during the school year. She says what the rescue really needs right now is volunteers, especially dog walkers. To see how you can adopt dogs or volunteer, visit their website.
