Edmond’s beloved Storybook Forest is back for another week of family‑focused fun at Arcadia Lake. The city announced that the event will run through Oct. 30, giving parents and children a safe, festive alternative to traditional trick‑or‑treating.
What families can expect
The forest trail is illuminated with lights and features life‑size scenes from classic tales such as “The Three Little Pigs” and “Rapunzel.” Children are encouraged to bring their own trick‑or‑treat bags to collect candy as they wander the whimsical pathway.
Beyond the storybook displays, the event includes a campfire area where families can roast hot dogs and s’mores, a dedicated reading tent for listening to beloved stories, carnival‑style games, and a hayride that circles the lake’s scenic perimeter.
Community response
“This is one of our favorite events they do here every year. They always do such a good job. It makes it fun; it’s one of the holiday traditions we love to do here. It kind of kicks off our fall for sure,” said members of the Duke family, longtime attendees.
Local businesses have also joined the celebration, offering snacks and souvenirs for visitors. The event is ticketed, and tickets can be purchased online via the city’s official website.
