Durham Police are asking drivers to avoid the area of Dolwick Drive and Edenberry Drive due to an active barricade situation. The police officers and the HEART Team, mental health clinicians who respond to behavioral and mental health-related calls, were asked to check on someone Tuesday morning on Dolwick Drive.
When officers and the HEART Team arrived, the man barricaded himself inside the house. A perimeter was set up around the home for safety, according to the Durham Police Department. The investigation is active and ongoing.
