Duncanville ISD has announced its policy for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the current income eligibility guidelines. Each school or the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone on request.
Eligibility Criteria
The following criteria will be used to determine a child’s eligibility for free or reduced-price meal benefits: household income at or below the income eligibility levels, or categorical eligibility such as receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
Applications for free and reduced-price meals are available at 6915 Cedar Ridge Dr., Dallas, TX 75236, or online at www.schoolcafe.com. Households that qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on income must complete an application, which will require providing the names of all household members, amount and source of current income, and the last four digits of the Social Security number of the adult household member who signs the application.
Duncanville ISD is working with local agencies to identify all children who are categorically and program eligible. Households of these children will be notified that they do not need to complete an application. Any household that does not receive a letter and feels it should have should contact Diana Leija, Meal Benefits Clerk, at 972-708-2328 or [email protected].
