The city of Doral announced the death of a police officer, prompting an outpouring of grief from the community and local officials.
Community Reaction
Doral Mayor Christi Fraga said in a statement, “With a heavy heart, I join our community in mourning the profound loss we share today alongside the family, friends, and fellow officers of one our own from the Doral Police Department.”
The name of the officer was not made public. According to reports, a Doral Police officer apparently took his own life in Southwest Miami-Dade County.
