A brown, mixed-breed dog was found Wednesday near Cedar Drive and Maple Road in the town of Maple Grove, Shawano County. The dog, nicknamed ‘Sunny,’ sustained eight gunshot wounds, a broken leg, and other traumatic injuries, likely occurring two-to-four days before he was found.
Staff at Specialized Veterinary Care are treating Sunny, who had a microchip registered to an out-of-state owner. The Shawano County Humane Society is accepting donations for his treatment.
