Several transportation projects are currently in progress in the DFW area, aiming to improve the region’s infrastructure. One such project is the US 75 Green Ribbon project, which will add enhancements to landscaping, erosion control, irrigation, and new decorative rock to key intersections along the US 75 corridor in Allen, including Stacy Road, McDermott Drive, and Bethany Drive.
Project Details
The Texas Department of Transportation authorized advertising the construction project in early June, with expectations to award the construction project by October. The project is scheduled to take place from November 2026 to March 2027, with a cost of $1.3 million, funded by TxDOT and the city of Allen.
Another project is the Coit Road phase 1 widening, which will widen Coit Road from a four-lane roadway to a six-lane concrete roadway from First Street to Prosper Trail. The project includes the roadway, curbs, underground work, and drainage. Construction is roughly two-thirds complete, with paving scheduled to begin in early June but delayed due to heavy rain.
Other projects include the reconstruction and utility improvements of Lakeside Boulevard from US 75 to Campbell Road, the widening and reconstruction of a road in Keller, and the East-West Connector, which connects drivers to the Southgate Plaza and Terminal F.
