Denver neighborhoods host family‑friendly yard sales this weekend

Denver families looking for affordable household items and a chance to meet neighbors have a built‑in weekend plan. Three neighborhoods – Harvey Park, Harvey Park South and Cole – are holding coordinated yard sales on Saturday and Sunday, giving residents a convenient way to declutter and save.

Harvey Park and Harvey Park South join forces

The Harvey Park Community Organization is running its annual yard‑sale event, extending the effort to both Harvey Park and Harvey Park South. The organization’s website invites anyone who has been “meaning to clean out the garage, clear out closets, move out some furniture, or finally deal with that ‘I’ll sell it someday’ pile” to take advantage of the two‑day sale.

Nearly one hundred homes have already signed up across the three neighborhoods, and a full list of participating addresses is posted on each neighborhood’s website. Shoppers can expect a wide variety of items, from clothing and antique furniture to tools, camping gear and more.

Cole neighborhood hosts its first sale in years

In the Cole area, longtime resident Jennifer Kelly is leading the effort. Kelly says this is the first time the neighborhood has organized a yard sale in many years, and she hopes the event will become a regular tradition. “I think having that affordability mixed with community involvement kind of just makes it more rounded and feels like something that we’re missing in the world at the moment,” she explained.

The Cole sale will also run on Saturday and Sunday, giving families ample time to browse, bargain and connect with neighbors they may only see in passing.

Family‑focused fun and a hot‑dog treat

Beyond the treasure‑hunt of second‑hand goods, the Harvey Park sale adds a small culinary delight: one participating home will operate a hot‑dog cart for the day. The simple snack adds a festive touch and a place for shoppers to pause and chat.

These neighborhood sales embody a core value of the HyperLocal Loop community: strengthening families and neighborhoods through shared, affordable experiences. By encouraging residents to recycle goods locally, the events also support responsible consumption and reduce waste.

How to participate

Anyone interested in setting up a table should contact the respective neighborhood organization via their websites. Volunteers are also welcome to help with set‑up, signage and clean‑up after the sales conclude.

Whether you’re hunting for a vintage lamp, a set of gardening tools, or simply a chance to say hello to a neighbor, the Denver yard sales this weekend offer a practical, family‑oriented way to spend Saturday and Sunday.
