A hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, is on lockdown after two people were shot inside, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
Law enforcement responded around 3:30 p.m. to the Wilmington Hospital, located about 30 miles southwest of Philadelphia, after reports of a shooting incident.
Several agencies, including the FBI and Delaware State Police, rushed to the scene to assist.
Incoming emergency patients will be diverted to other hospitals, according to ChristianaCare, the system that oversees Wilmington Hospital.
The investigation was still active, and police had yet to publicly identify a suspect.
David Karas, the Wilmington Police Department spokesperson, stated that the community does not want such incidents and that they will work to get to the bottom of it and hold the individual responsible.
