Daisy May Keeps Wildlife Off Des Moines Golf Course

Daisy May, a silver Labrador, is an integral part of the Wakonda Club golf course in Des Moines. She runs up to six miles daily to keep geese and squirrels off the course, ensuring a smooth experience for golfers.

Meet Daisy May

Daisy May joined the Wakonda staff three years ago as a puppy and has since become a vital member of the team. Assistant superintendent Tyler Kinney says she’s easily adapted to her environment and isn’t scared off by loud equipment.

Her main responsibility is keeping wildlife off the course, which is especially important during the Principal Charity Classic. With her help, golfers can focus on their game without worrying about geese or squirrels getting in the way.
