Cookie Society Announces New Gourmet Cookie Shop in Allen

Allen residents will soon have a new sweet‑tooth destination when Cookie Society opens its latest storefront in the city. The dessert shop, known for its signature “Texas‑sized” cookies, will join an expanding network of locations that includes Frisco, Prosper, Southlake, Addison and Mansfield.

What the shop will offer

Customers can expect a rotating menu of classic and inventive flavors such as cookies and cream, chocolate chip, salted caramel and frosted oatmeal. All cookies are baked fresh on site and are large enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetites. In addition to in‑store purchases, Cookie Society provides local delivery within Allen and the surrounding Collin County area, as well as nationwide shipping for fans across the country.

Founders and growth

Marissa Allen and her husband, retired Houston Texans player Jeff Allen, launched Cookie Society in 2020. Since then, the business has grown rapidly, positioning itself as the largest Black‑owned cookie brand in Texas, according to the company’s website. The Allens credit their success to a focus on quality ingredients, generous portion sizes and a commitment to serving both local neighborhoods and a broader online audience.

Community impact

The new Allen location is expected to create several full‑time jobs and provide a gathering spot for families and friends. The Allen community has a strong tradition of supporting locally‑owned businesses, and Cookie Society’s emphasis on family‑friendly service aligns with that spirit. The shop’s opening also adds to the city’s growing culinary scene, which includes a mix of coffee houses, bakeries and specialty eateries.

Why the expansion matters

Expanding into Allen reflects a broader trend of successful regional brands scaling up while maintaining a local focus. By offering both brick‑and‑mortar service and a robust online shipping program, Cookie Society demonstrates how small businesses can reach customers beyond their immediate market without sacrificing the personal touch that defines a neighborhood shop.

Looking ahead

With the Allen store slated to open later this year, the Allens plan to continue expanding to additional Texas markets. Their goal is to keep the brand’s core values—family‑centered hospitality, high‑quality baked goods, and community involvement—at the forefront of every new location.
