Conservative activist CJ Pearson is warning that Democrats are luring ‘politically homeless’ young people toward socialism and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives. Pearson argues that the left is aggressively steering Gen Z toward these ideologies, offering them a sense of belonging and validation.
Next250: A Counterattack Against Socialism
Pearson has launched Next250, a political action committee aimed at organizing young conservatives, registering voters in swing states, and countering support for socialism and DEI among Gen Z. The PAC plans to spend $1 million on digital ads targeting young and minority voters in Georgia.
Pearson pointed to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who has embraced the democratic socialist label and supported government-run grocery stores, rent freezes, and universal child care. Pearson sees a similar dynamic at play in the debate over diversity, equity, and inclusion, arguing that these policies have fostered what he called the ‘soft bigotry of low expectations.’
Pearson’s PAC will go head-to-head with the ideology embraced by younger students by rallying conservatives in deep blue areas and swing states for voter registration. He sees partnering with fraternities and sororities as a way to build a force capable of pushing back against socialism and DEI.
