Braydon Rockwell, a 14-year-old from Connellsville, achieved his first hole-in-one while playing golf with his mother, Tawnya Rockwell, at Pleasant Valley Golf Club in Bullskin Township.
A Notable Achievement
The feat occurred on the 175-yard hole on No. 6, where Rockwell used a 7-iron to score the hole-in-one. This achievement comes after Rockwell placed first in the Junior Open championship, competing against an adult field of golfers in the C. Harper Fayette Open.
Connellsville golf coach Brent Rockwell expressed his hopes that Braydon’s strong August performance will translate into the upcoming months, as he will be part of the Falcons’ boys team. The first official day of practice for golfers in the WPIAL began on Monday, with teams able to schedule a scrimmage or match on Thursday.
