Community Invited to Participate in Downtown Casper Cleanup on June 10

Residents of Casper, Wyoming, are encouraged to participate in the 2026 Downtown Casper Cleanup Day, scheduled for Wednesday, June 10. This initiative, organized by the Casper Downtown Development Authority (DDA) in collaboration with Shop Downtown Casper and the City of Casper Community Development team, aims to unite community members, businesses, and organizations in a collective effort to maintain a clean and vibrant downtown area.

Community Effort for a Cleaner Downtown

The DDA’s announcement highlights the importance of community involvement in enhancing the heart of Casper. Volunteers are invited to gather at David Street Station, where they will receive instructions and be assigned to designated cleanup areas. Participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and can choose from three available shifts throughout the day.

Melissa Hugget, executive director of the Casper DDA, emphasized the significance of community engagement, stating, “This is what community looks like – people showing up, pitching in, and taking ownership of downtown.” The event is open to individuals, families, employee groups, and civic organizations, with no prior experience required.

Supporting Local Businesses and Community Pride

The Downtown Casper Cleanup Day not only aims to beautify the area but also supports local businesses by creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. The event builds on the success of last year’s initiative, which was shaped by the leadership and hard work of the City of Casper Community Development team.

For those interested in participating, volunteer signups are available through the DDA. This hands-on opportunity allows residents to contribute to shared spaces and demonstrate pride in their community.

For more information or to sign up, residents can contact the Casper Downtown Development Authority.
