According to CSPD, the operations have included additional patrol enforcement on weekends. The police department has also issued citations to three minors for possession of alcohol during the operation. CSPD Chief Vasquez stated, ‘We understand the frustration these incidents cause. Residents deserve to feel safe in their neighborhoods and on our roadways. We share those concerns and remain committed to addressing this dangerous behavior.’ The police department is asking anyone who witnesses illegal street racing or reckless driving to contact the CSPD non-emergency line at 719-444-7000.
