Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the special women in our lives, and in Colorado, residents are showing their appreciation with thoughtful gifts. According to Instacart’s 2025 order data, Mother’s Day was the single biggest gifting day on the platform, with customers placing gift orders 18 times more often than average.
Popular Gifts
Flowers were the most popular gift, with over half of all Mother’s Day weekend gift orders containing a combination flower bouquet. Fresh-cut roses were also a favorite, with nearly a quarter of orders including them. But it wasn’t just flowers – gourmet dinners and sweet treats were also popular, with chocolate-covered fresh fruit, lobster tails, and filet mignon seeing significant spikes in orders.
Colorado residents leaned slightly toward roses, with orders 4% above the national average. However, the state’s preferences differed from other parts of the country, with tulips and orchids being more popular in other regions.
While flowers and gourmet dinners were popular, the data also showed that sometimes the best gifts are simple and personal. For example, in Canada, potato chips and yellow bananas were among the top 10 gifts ordered on Instacart.
