A Colorado man was arraigned in Fourth Judicial District Court for multiple charges related to a crime spree in Sheridan County last fall. According to the affidavit of probable cause, a report of a stolen 1986 GMC was called into the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office on September 17, 2025.
Crime Spree Details
The owner of the truck, Brent Allman, located the vehicle traveling on Interstate 90 and followed the stolen vehicle until it crashed into a ditch on Upper Prairie Dog Road in Sheridan County. When Allman approached the vehicle, the suspect, later identified as Scooter Casey, exited the vehicle and proceeded to punch Allman and slam his leg in the truck door. Casey then stole Allman’s 2022 GMC truck and a 22-foot trailer and fled the scene.
Casey, also on September 17th, is alleged to have stolen a generator and license plates off of a vehicle. Both of those alleged crimes occurred in the Bighorn National Forest. Casey was identified by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office with Walmart receipts that were in a backpack that he had left in the stolen 1986 GMC.
Casey, at an arraignment hearing, pleaded not guilty to one count of felony robbery, two counts of felony theft, one count of felony burglary and two counts of misdemeanor theft. The court judge scheduled a five-day jury trial to begin on December 8th.
