Republican incumbents have won their primaries in Colorado’s 3rd, 5th, and 8th congressional districts. In the 3rd District, Rep. Jeff Hurd secured the Republican nomination with 67.5% of the vote, while Army veteran Dwayne Romero won the Democratic primary with 55% of the vote.
5th and 8th Districts
In the 5th District, Republican incumbent Jeff Crank ran unopposed in the primary. Jessica Killin won the Democratic primary with 63% of the vote. In the 8th District, Republican incumbent Rep. Gabe Evans ran unopposed, while state Rep. Manny Rutinel won the Democratic primary with 60.9% of the vote.
The Republican incumbents and the Democratic primary winners will face off in the general election on November 3.
