Collin College trustees have called for a November bond election to raise $600 million for expansion, including new facilities at several campuses, such as the Wylie Campus.
Expansion Plans
The proposition would authorize $600 million for workforce and academic expansions at the McKinney Campus, the Technical Campus in Allen, the Frisco Campus, the Wylie Campus, the Farmersville Campus, and the Courtyard Center in Plano.
The proposed bond package is part of the college’s long-range master plan, Destination 2030, designed to expand educational access, strengthen workforce training, and modernize facilities.
Credit enrollment has increased by over 31% in the past decade, and the college expects continued growth. The bond would help address this growth by expanding capacity and modernizing existing facilities.
