A Colerain Township dad who was shot and killed on Father’s Day is now being remembered by his family. Forty-one-year-old Jonathan Bunting was described as a devoted dad who loved his job driving trucks, enjoyed singing in the church choir, and playing guitar.
Family Remembers Jonathan Bunting
His brother, Luther Bunting, said that his heart breaks for Jonathan’s two children, who are just 11 and 13 years old. Luther said his brother was bringing snacks to his kids at the home where they live on Sunday when he was killed. Police say he knew the shooter, that the two got into a brief physical altercation, and a shot was fired.
Police found Jonathan shot outside the home, and he died at the hospital. So far, no charges have been filed, and the investigation remains ongoing. Luther created a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses.
